An electromagnet is a magnet that runs on electricity. The difference between a permanent magnet and a an electromagnet is that the magnetic force and strength can easily be changed, and a permanent one cannot.
We can change the strength of an electromagnet by changing the battery type. The battery controls the strength of the electromagnet. So if the battery type is changed, then the force and strength will be either greater, or lesser. As a result of adjusting the voltage, it will also adjust the current and the resistance, in ordinance with Ohm's law, Current=voltage/resistance.
Ohm's Law = Deals with the relationship between voltage and current in an ideal conductor.
